Biography / Presentation
Núria Salán holds a degree in Chemical Sciences and a doctorate in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering. Associated with the UPC since 1991 as a researcher, he has been a professor since 1997 in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering at ESEIAAT. As a researcher, he has participated in more than 20 R & D projects and 5 Teaching Innovation projects. Author and co-author of 35 scientific-technical documents and a fiction novel, he has received several recognitions throughout his career, such as the First Prize of Innovation in Teaching Quality in various calls and the distinction Vicens Vives of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Last year, she received the "Mujer y Tecnología" prize from the Orange Foundation, which is awarded to women who actively contribute to the dissemination of technology and to bringing it closer to pre-university girls. Currently, she collaborates in the mentoring program for girls of the UPC, M2m, and is Deputy Director of Institutional and Student Promotion of ESEIAAT.
