Biography / Presentation
David Casacuberta (Barcelona, 1967) is a professor of philosophy of science and technology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He is interested in a multitude of topics, from gastronomic aesthetics to bioethics, but his research focuses on the social, cultural and cognitive implications of digital technologies, and how classic Oriental thought can help us to understand Better what is the mind and who we are after all. In 2003, he won the Eusebi Colomer Prize for the best essay on philosophical or ethical aspects related to the new technology society and the Ingenio 400 Award for the best net.art project around the 400th anniversary of Don Quixote.
