Masterclass - Artificial intelligence (IA) and journalism: threat or opportunity? (Libraries) - Face-to-face
Artificial Intelligence applications don't just generate images, videos or explanations about everything we ask. They are also capable of producing supposedly informative content. But is that right? What moral, labor and ethical dilemmas does it put on the table for citizens and the staff who work there? How reliable are the news published there? And how are the ethics of the media?

Applications based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) have also reared their heads in various media, generating photographs, videos and even entire news stories that have been written and published without human intervention. Is it a trend here to stay or is it a passing fad? Will we see in the future an entire newspaper or a newsletter produced exclusively by machines? And, if so, what ethical and labor dilemmas does the adoption of these tools entail for such a socially transcendent task? What is the policy of the main media regarding these processes and what precautions have they adopted for their staff and the public?
SPECIFIC GOALS
Bringing citizens closer to the main initiatives in the generation of information through AI from media in our environment and around the world, starting the ethical and professional debate on the impact these processes could have on our perception of social reality.
