The course introduces Power BI, including licensing and navigating Power BI Desktop. Data connections, using Power Query for transformation, and various types of charts for data visualization are covered. The use of analytics such as trendlines and forecasting is explored, and DAX and its functions are introduced. The final practice applies all these concepts.

OBJECTIVES
- Master Power BI Desktop: Learn to use the functions of Power BI Desktop for creating, editing, and publishing professional reports
- Manage Data with Power Query: Get trained in the use of Power Query for cleaning, transforming, and modeling data from various sources
- Learn to design and build effective graphical visualizations to communicate information clearly and attractively
- Know and apply the different types of charts available in Power BI for the visual representation of data
- Understand and use DAX expressions for data analysis, calculations, and creation of custom measures
- Learn to improve interactivity between visualizations and explore deep navigation features
- Incorporate advanced analytics techniques such as adding trend lines, forecasts, and identifying outliers
- Apply the acquired knowledge through practical exercises and a final project, integrating all learned concepts into a real-world context

>> In the case that the format is virtual streaming, it will be conducted through the free platform Microsoft Teams. Registered individuals will receive the link with the invitation and access instructions via email before the session starts.
>> When the edition is in virtual streaming format, it will be necessary to have Power BI Desktop installed. A Microsoft 365 license is not required. Installation link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494
>> Entry to the classroom will not be allowed after 15 minutes once the activity has started.
>> The language in which each session is conducted is specified in the description of each activity.
>> Any of the training actions of Cibernàrium may be recorded through an image capture system whose purpose is its subsequent dissemination through a medium or support in the scope of the mission of Barcelona Activa to contribute to economic promotion and employment. In the recording process, images of attendees may eventually be recorded. Registration for Cibernàrium activities implies authorization to Barcelona Activa to use these images for the aforementioned purpose.
