1. What is IT Academy?
Learn programming or data analytics with the free bootcamps from the Barcelona City Council! Come and transition to the ICT sector or retrain within this sector!
Two training models
Reskilling (350h):
Training programs that allow people to transition to a new professional field, in this case to the IT sector. The courses are in-person at Cibernàrium-22@, from Monday to Thursday from 10am to 2pm, and attendance is mandatory.
Upskilling (50-150h):
Courses aimed at people with prior IT knowledge, allowing them to improve their technical skills. Check the format and schedule for each training program.
2. What can you learn?
Frontend
This is the part of web development that includes everything people see and interact with, such as design and user interface, using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Backend
The backend is the part that manages the server, the database, and the application logic, using languages like PHP, Python, or Java, to ensure the correct functioning of the website.
Full-stack
A full-stack developer works on both the frontend (user interface) and the backend (server and databases) of web development, using a variety of technologies to create complete applications.
Data Analytics
This is the process of collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to identify patterns, trends, and information that help in decision-making. It uses statistical, mathematical techniques, and software tools like Python, R, and SQL.

Once the registration is completed on the website, you will automatically receive an email with instructions to access IT Academy (please check your spam folder if the email does not arrive in your inbox).
Open registrations apply to all courses with available spots. If you cannot enroll in the course you were looking for, it is because it is currently full. When a spot becomes available, you will be notified by email.
These courses do not follow specific scheduling. When a spot opens up in a course, the next person on the waiting list is automatically notified.
