Objectives and syllabus

Do you have a smartphone or tablet and want to make the most of it? Do you want to know how to use them correctly and discover all the possibilities they offer you?
With this workshop, you will be introduced to the use of your smartphone or tablet to inform you, communicate, make your day to day easier, and get the most out of it (do better photos, listen to music, organize tasks...)

General objectives of the activity:

That people understand how their smartphone or tablet works, that they know how to manage their user account, contacts and that they can configure it.

Specific objectives

- To know how a smartphone or tablet works
- Create a user. What is it and what does it imply?
- Adapt the smartphone to our liking
- Solve how it connects, what data is and what types of connections there are.

Complete syllabus

- Types of mobile devices and tablets: differences and similarities
- Interaction with the screen: main movements, physical and virtual buttons
- Quick access, curtains,
- Notification management
- Google account or Apple ID.
- How to save and manage contacts in the agenda: high, low, lock
- How to make calls, call log, voice mailbox, block calls
- Device settings and settings: screen timeout, font size, security (patterns, pin, fingerprint, ...)
- Tips for good battery use
- What are widgets?
- Types of Internet connections: Wifi, 4G, 5G, ...
- Security of connections. Differences between Wifi and data.
- Wifi Direct.

This activity is taught in the Antenes Cibernàrium located in the multimedia spaces of the Biblioteques de Barcelona network.
