Introduction to PostgreSQL and PostGIS
This course will allow students to learn about the PostgreSQL database and PostGIS to store geographic information. Students will learn how to install and configure this relational database. Students will use pgAdmin IV to administer PostGIS and QGIS Desktop to view layers and sql views. Students will use QGIS plugins to access PostGIS.

The aim of the course will be for students to learn how to install PostgreSQL with PostGIS.
Students will learn how to manage Data within PostgreSQL, create, update, etc.
Students will learn the sql language
You will learn how to use QGIS Desktop to connect to PostgreSQL and work on mapping with the 2 programs (QGIS and PostgreSQL)
